Product Owner

Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 
Location: Near Birmingham (1-2 days per month in the office)

The role:

We're seeking a Product Owner to help build and launch an innovative new solution for the logistics and transport industry. This is a unique opportunity to shape a product from the ground up, working closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to bring the vision to life.

An independently owned software company developing solutions for customers within the transport and logistics sectors.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and prioritise the product backlog to align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Gather and analyse feedback from customers and stakeholders to refine the product.
  • Act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring clear requirements.
  • Lead sprint planning and backlog grooming in an Agile environment.
  • Define and track key performance metrics to measure success.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience using analytics to inform decisions.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in logistics, distribution, or trucking industries.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Exposure to API-based products and SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with the companies tech stack (Python (Flask, Fast API), TypeScript, React)
